Virtual Therapy · Anywhere in Connecticut
The same brain-based therapy, from the safety of your own space.
Depending on your preference, we can meet in person at the Newington office or virtually from the comfort of your own home. Sarah provides EMDR, Brainspotting, ART and anxiety treatment through secure, HIPAA-compliant video to adolescents and adults anywhere in Connecticut.

Does this resonate?
This may be right for you if…
- You live anywhere in Connecticut and want a trauma specialist, not a generalist.
- You are a student, parent or professional with a full schedule.
- Driving to appointments is a barrier for health, transport, or time reasons.
- You or your teen feel more comfortable opening up from home.
- You want to continue care while traveling within the state.
Does online EMDR and Brainspotting actually work?
Yes. Research on remote EMDR shows outcomes comparable to in-person treatment, and Brainspotting translates unusually well to video because the core process (holding an eye position while noticing your body) happens inside you. For EMDR, Sarah uses on-screen bilateral stimulation or guided self-tapping; for ART, on-screen eye-movement guidance; for Brainspotting, the camera and a pointer.
Many clients find that processing from their own space is actually easier. There is no drive home in a vulnerable state, no waiting room, and the ability to have your own pet, blanket or cup of tea nearby.
Who online therapy is a good fit for
College students at UConn, Yale, Quinnipiac, Wesleyan, CCSU and elsewhere who want continuity through the year; busy parents and professionals; clients in Fairfield County, New Haven, Litchfield County or the shoreline who want a Newington-based trauma specialist without the drive; teens who open up more from home; and anyone for whom mobility, transportation, or health makes in-person care difficult.
The one thing you need is a private space where you will not be interrupted for the length of the session, plus a reliable internet connection and a device with a camera.
Hybrid care
Plenty of clients mix formats: in person for the first sessions or for an intensive, then virtual for ongoing work. Others do the reverse. It is your care, and it should fit your life.
Insurance and telehealth
Telehealth sessions are covered by the same plans as in-person sessions, including Aetna, Anthem, Cigna, ConnectiCare, HUSKY/Medicaid, Oxford and United Healthcare. See rates and insurance for details.
